Americans have developed a “eternal” DVD
The idea is to replace the organic layer of plastic, which is recorded on the layer of inorganic material. The latter, according to the researchers, do not suffer from degradation, whereas the traditional DVD, created on the basis of an organic plastic, can become unreadable after only five to ten years, even if during that time never took out of the box.
The disc, called M-ARC Disc, practically does not differ from the normal DVD. To write information on the new media requires a special drive Millennial Writer, and the discs can be read in the usual DVD-player. The first example of the new carrier will be submitted in early September, and its value will be about 25-30 dollars. Computers Internet Blog team is waiting new dvds for testing.
