The new smartphone, Google may be called the Nexus Prime, says Boy Genius Report, citing a source in the industry. The fact that the new device will be the former name of Nexus, in May this year hinted Google Vice President Andy Rubin (Andy Rubin).

In particular, the new smartphone will be equipped with a processor with 1.5 GHz and a large HD-display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (720p). Diagonal is not reported. Source confirmed the information, and even pointed to the chip model – OMAP4460 from Texas Instruments. This is a 2-core processor with an integrated video accelerator PowerVR SGX540, produced on 45nm technology. The processor runs at 1.5 GHz and can handle Full HD-video at 30 frames per second and supports playback and capture 3D-video and images.
According to the source, in Nexus Prime is a screen Super AMOLED HD, confirming earlier information on high-resolution display. Produce displays, as well as their own smartphones Nexus Prime will be managed by Samsung Electronics. Sales of new products scheduled to begin before the New Year holidays, that is, at the end of 2011.
