Cisco announced the architecture “of networks without borders” (Cisco Borderless Networks Arhitecture)
To meet the growing requirements of companies in the IT infrastructure caused by the growing popularity of the joint work of geographically distributed teams of staff, Cisco announced the architecture “of networks without borders” (Cisco Borderless Networks Arhitecture) and presented a plan of five phases, which aims to ensure access to services and applications to any user from anywhere at any time and from any device – seamlessly, reliably and safely.
The first element of the architecture of networks without borders has become a family of Cisco routers with integrated services of second-generation Integrated Services Router Generation 2, or ISR G2.
Routers Cisco ISR G2 will help organizations and commercial operators to scale and simplify access to network services on demand, video and collaborative applications from branch offices of large enterprises. The new devices are a natural component of the architecture of networks without borders, combining technology from Cisco routing, switching, wireless and security in a single tightly integrated network infrastructure that enables organizations to more effectively meet the growing demand for video applications for collaborative work and other network services and provide access to these services from anywhere in the IT infrastructure of the organization. The architecture of networks without borders facilitates the work of IT professionals to monitor, scale, manage and protect networks, while ensuring greater integration of user activities, work units, the operation of applications and accepted in any organization’s business processes.
To enable remote deployment and management of virtual network services, solutions for networks without borders separating hardware from software. Router ISR G2 implements this functionality through an innovative mechanism Services Ready Engine, which allows companies to dynamically deploy services in branch offices without expensive on-site support.
