Creators of MP3 format invented a new one
Developers MP3 format and the first MP3-player unveiled a new digital music format – MusicDNA. It should allow users to access not only to the music itself, but also to automatically update the supplementary material.
Dagfinn Bach (Dagfinn Bach) from Norway, who worked back in 1993 on the first MP3-player, announced a new music format called MusicDNA. Recorded with his use of composition can include not only the music itself, but also lyrics, videos, and various art materials, and even related to the musical product of the posts from blogs. All of these additional materials will be continuously updated automatically on the Web.
Dagfinn Bach created a new format with the support of other scientists, among them a German researcher Karlheinz Brandenburg (Karlheinz Brandenburg) – he is considered the inventor of the popular format MP3. Use MusicDNA already agreed a British record company, Beggars Group (working with her Vampire Weekend, MIA and The Strokes), as well as the U.S. Tommy Boy. Major labels have not yet reported their support for the new format, said the Air Force.
According to experts, the files in MusicDNA likely to be more expensive than the current format, which may partly deter record companies and Internet services from cooperation. MusicDNA will compete with iTunes LP from Apple, which also offers users additional content besides music – bonus tracks, lyrics and video interviews.
