IBM will produce DVD movies with spam
IBM decided to produce DVD disk that will contain movies and the commercial material that cannot be skipped when you watching DVD movie.
IBM registered patent for producing DVD movies that will contain small commercial breaks along the movie. Advertisement will be burned to the DVD along with the movie and it will have ability to download new commercials from the Internet. The idea is that movie will contain commercial breaks like a regular TV and user would not be able to skip them. This new “feature” will be integrated along with creation of DVD players with Internet connection.
