XFX GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition
Nvidia’s GTX 200 series is one of the new technology which been around for half year. The GT200 core that powers the GTX 200 series cards is a beast of a core, the largest core produced by the company with 1.4 billion transistors. On September 16th, 2008 Nvidia released a new GTX 260 increased performance which gives 12% performance boost.
Furthermore to increase sales XFX increased up the memory clock to 1150MHz. In comparison the stock memory speed for the GeForce GTX 260 is 999MHz. With these extra features and overclocked core and memory clocks, this is the first GTX 260 to come into our System Diary Technology News lab that will be able to put up a very good fight against the HD 4870.
